Genesis Official v3.0.6 Release

Mandatory update for all full nodes including pools, masternode owners, explorers and exchanges.

Overview

As some of you may or may not know, after the release of v3.0.5 re-enabling Big Blocks, we had an ultrablock payout on block 433521. After researching, the team found this to be a governance block that went awry and paid out to miners, which it should not have done. Since governance is currently not active, all governance blocks are burned up to this point.

In order to fix this concern, we have disabled governance payouts, but put an exception in for block 433521. Without said exception, the block would be rejected, meaning a chain rollback.

Genesis v3.0.6 will require pools to update prior to the first ultrablock in approximately 10 days from now. See the Big Block Tracker for specifics on this. Shortly after, connections to v3.0.5 will start to cease, requiring all nodes to update.

Pool/Exchange/Explorer Owners

Please git pull and build latest changes

Masternode Owners

Open your VPS and type genxmasternode to update. If you are an older masternode owner, you will have to type bash <(curl -sL genesisnetwork.io/mn-installer) to update. Once update is complete, you’ll have to “Start-Alias” from the masternodes tab in your full node wallet
