Is Money the Great Equalizer For Women?

I think as women we must be our own advocates when it comes to money. I have seen and heard about WAY too many women who thought that was a “man’s job” or looked to men to be a financial plan. Well they ended up getting screwed once the man decided he no longer wanted to be married to them anymore.

I think women can take a more proactive role in their financial education and execution.

I don’t believe money is the great equalizer because sexism runs far deeper than just money. I don’t believe it buys anymore respect either. I believe that women playing more of an active role in their own financial lives will start to reduce some of the issues we see with women and poverty.

Of course closing the wage gap is the first big barrier that needs to come down!
