This is a story about Virginia state senator Mark R. Warner and how he came to be in this position in 2021. The senator's full name is Mark Robert Warner and he was born on December 10th, 1954. In the state of Indiana.

He later moved to Illinois and then moved again to Connecticut. In 1977 he earned his bachelor's degree from George Washington University. He was the first member of his entire family who successfully completed college.

He later went on to Harvard University and completed his education in law. He then later served as staff in U.S Sen. Christopher Dodds's team. Soon after Mark works towards building a fortune thru being a broker of telephone services.

Later on, Mark married Lisa Collins in 1989. He started getting active in politics when he lived in Alexandria. He then went and directed a campaign of Douglas Wilder. Who later became the first African American governor.

He later ran for the U.S Senate but he lost the general election. But he won the majority of votes in the conservative rural portions of Virginia. Warner ran for governor in 2001 and this time he won with almost 52 % of the vote.

When he was governor he encouraged business investments in Virginia. He also went on a made the education system better. Later when a seat in the U.S senate became vacant he ran for it and won seamlessly.

This win was possible because of his accomplishments in being the governor of Virginia. He later on in 2014 became a leader in veterans military affairs. This was only possible because of the connections he established in Virginia.

Since he has been the U.S sen. he has released a lot of bills to help the community. One of the more bills was related to the Virginia Affordable home act and he issued $4 million for it.
