I think that’s a very good point. YNAB made a big difference for me in thinking about credit cards and dealing with debt, but I was already a fastidious tracker of every expense and had used other budgeting apps as well as an old-fashioned bank balance book. So for me, starting to use it was not a huge difference in terms of entering transactions. But I do love that you can connect your accounts (you couldn’t when I started), so there’s that safety net if I forget to enter something.
