When I get hungry, which I do on a very regular schedule at 1:00, I go make myself food. I buy some salad kits that are easy to make quickly. And then I do watch tv, try to watch an episode of something short like The Office, Brooklyn 99, any half hour show. I’ve definitely had days where I end up watching two episodes, or whatever. But I keep my phone by my side to see if anyone has emailed. If I’m working on something more self-motivated, like a longer editing or writing project where I’m not regularly in contact with other people, then I probably take longer at lunch, maybe even a nap, and just work later into the evening.
