Template My Spam
First there was the idea to collect emails of LIVE4 GoPro users. Second was the perception of lack of verification letter. Third was the design.
Then I thought ‘If we anyway create this awesome template for verification letter, why can’t we template other email activities to make them look incredible?’ And after thoughts I made…
… something spammy…
… and more personal…
I don’t know what are the further steps. I’d ask Helena to code that but she has enough work to do with website, so we’ll have to enjoy just PNG’s so far.
LIVE4 Sharing More
As you may know, the sharing process is not immediate. And there is no guarantee it will be successful. So we together with Petro decided, we should tell the user if sharing fails. After user selects his friends and taps the Share button, the process is started.
The last, Stream shared state should be there for a second or two and then the button should look from the very beginning offering to share stream. Tapping this button opens blank friend list and the cycle begins again.
But what if the link to the stream wasn’t shared? Let’s offer user to Retry or Cancel. The initial UI sketches for that look like this:
No good decision yet. Working on that.
I added the design for placeholders while userpics in People Picker are loading.
See how balanced it looks. When the userpics aren’t loaded, it looks just like the checkbox without a check. The thinner, compared to selected, stroke works awesome as well.
By the way, did you mention the People Picker background is a bit transparent? That is made on purpose to show that it’s connected to the screen it overlays. Sligh animation of People Picker appearance will help as well.
I also started planning of Explore, My Videos with Record button at the bottom of LIVE4 GoPro for iOS. I expect the first and may be final mockups to be ready tomorrow.
