Devcon 4 Updates by Genny — Do I need a visa to enter the Czech Republic?
Getting to Prague in the Czech Republic is relatively easy from anywhere in the world due to its location in the heart of Central Europe. The most popular ways of getting to Prague are by plane or train. However, it is crucial to check before travelling whether you require a visa or not to enter the Czech Republic as visas cannot be obtained at the border.
Regardless of entering the Czech Republic by plane, train or car:
- No visa can be obtained at the border, train stations or the airports.
- Your passport must have been issued within the last ten years.
- Your passport must be valid at least three months after the departure from the Czech Republic (or Schengen Area).

Visa not required to stay up to 90 days for:
- Citizens of the European Union: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
- Citizens of Schengen, but not part of the European Union: Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland.
- Citizens of the following visa-free regime countries: Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, East Timor, Georgia, Grenada, Guatemala, Honduras, Israel, Japan, Kiribati, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia, Monaco, Nauru, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Palau, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Salvador, Samoa, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, San Marino, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Vatican and Venezuela.
- British citizens who are not nationals of the United Kingdom: British Nationals (Overseas), British Overseas Territories Citizens, British Overseas Citizens, British Protected Persons, British Subjects.

Visa not required to stay up to 90 days — when meeting requirements for some visa-free regime countries:
- Holders of biometric passports only: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, and Serbia.
- Holders of passports issued by Taiwan only if their passport contains an identity card number.
- Holders of a “Hong Kong Special Administrative Region” passport.
- Holders of a “Região Administrativa Especial de Macau” passport.

Visa required
Other foreign visitors are required to have a visa.
No visa can be obtained at the border or the airports.
Devcon 4 attendees note: As part of your visa application, if you require an official invitation showing that you are attending Devcon 4, please email the Ethereum Foundation at support@ethereum.org with the following info: Full Name, Date of Birth, Nationality, Passport Number, Home Address.
- The maximum length of any individual stay in the Czech Republic based on a visa is 90 days.
- The visa may be used at any time within six months from the date of issue.
- The Czech Republic is part of Schengen Area. The holder of visa from any Schengen State is allowed to stay in any other Schengen State for up to 90 days.
