You raise a good point, but I think it’s important to recognize there is an interplay between social factors and genetics when it comes to health disparities. For example, if doctors fail to recognize that, because of genetics, African Americans taking a particular drug are at a greater risk for a bad reaction, that contributes to inequities in health care.
