- You will have 1 week to hatch your Genesis Genopet once you have an Egg, there is no need to hatch your egg the minute the hatching process opens. There is no advantage to being early. Take your time and enjoy the hatching experience, you can only do it once.
Once you have or if you already have a Genopet Egg:
- Genopets.me is our ONLY website domain not .sale .org .nft etc. The fair launch and Genesis Genopet Egg hatching will take place at https://genesis.genopets.me/. Always double-check your URL.
- All Genopet Egg holders can hatch their Genesis Genopet at any point between 11/30/2021 05:00 UTC — 12/07/2021 05:00 UTC (1 week) by visiting our website: https://genesis.genopets.me/
- After acquiring a Genopet Egg, you will need to have a small amount of SOL in your wallet for transaction fees to hatch a Genesis Genopet.
- If you have acquired multiple Genopet Eggs, you will need to place them in different wallets in order to hatch them. (Only 1 Genopet Egg can hatch per wallet address.)
- If you do not hatch your Genopet Egg before 12/07/2021 at 05:00 UTC, your Genesis Egg will “crack,” and you will never be able to use it to mint a Genesis Genopet ever again.
Participating in the Fair Launch to get a Genopet Egg:
- There are currently 1,000 Genopet Eggs in circulation, and 2,333 more will be available to mint during the fair launch.
- In order to deter bots, every fair launch bid has a non-refundable 1 GENE fee.
- The minimum bid to participate in the fair launch is 5 GENE.
- The maximum bid to participate in the fair launch is 50 GENE.
- You must have a small amount of SOL for gas in your wallet to mint a Genopet Egg if selected as a winner in the raffle.
- You must place a bid between 11/29/21 at 17:00 UTC and 11/30/21 at 11:00 UTC (18 hours).
- At 11:00 UTC on 11/30/21, the fair price will be confirmed, and anyone who bids less than the fair price can increase their bid between 11:00 UTC — 17:00 UTC (6 hours) to be included in the raffle.
- On 11/30/21 a few hours after the grace period ends, 2,333 winners of the fair launch will be randomly selected, who can then mint a Genopet Egg to hatch a Genesis Genopet.
- After winners are chosen, you will be able to mint your Genopet Egg. You will have until 12/07/2021 05:00 UTC to hatch your Egg into a Genesis Genopet.
How a Fair Launch Works:
Phase 1 — Set Price: 11/29/21 17:00 UTC — 11/30/21 11:00 UTC
Enter a bid between 5 and 50 GENE. The median of all bids, which will be calculated at the end of Phase 1, will be the “fair” price you will pay for a ticket in the raffle. In order to deter bots, all bids will incur a 1 GENE fee. You must have enough GENE in your wallet to cover your bid + bidding fee at this time.
The protocol arranges all submitted bid amounts in numerical order to calculate the median and identify the “middle” value. For example, in this series of sorted bids: 5, 7, 10, 20, 50, the median ( middle of the sequence) would be 10.
Phase 2 — Grace Period: 11/30/21 11:00 UTC — 11/30/21 17:00 UTC (6 hours)
If your bid was at or above the fair price, you automatically get a raffle ticket at that price. There’s nothing else you need to do. If you bid more than the fair price, excess GENE will be returned to you after the raffle. If your bid is below the median price, you can still increase your bid to the fair price during this confirmation period and receive a raffle ticket.
Phase 3 — Raffle: 11/30/21 17:00 UTC + ~2 hours
In order to participate in the raffle, you must have a raffle ticket. 2,333 participants in the fair launch will be chosen at random to mint a Genopet Egg, which entitles you to hatch a Genesis Genopet. If you aren’t selected in the raffle, your GENE will go right back into your wallet.
Hatching a Genopet Egg: 11/30/2021 05:00 UTC — 12/07/2021 05:00 UTC
All Genopet Egg holders will have one week starting at 11/30/2021 05:00 UTC until 12/07/2021 05:00 UTC to hatch their Genesis Genopet at https://genesis.genopets.me/. There is no advantage to being early. Take your time and enjoy the hatching experience, you can only do it once. 1,000 Genesis Genopet Eggs are already in circulation and 2,333 will be distributed in the Fair Launch above.

A Genopet is a generative NFT digital spirit animal in which you will imbue with your unique psychological profile to give life. You can customize, upgrade, and evolve your Genopet by living an active lifestyle and translating physical activity into in-game utility. Starting Cyber Monday, November 29, 2021, we will hatch 3,333 pre-evolved Stage 4 Genesis Genopet NFTs that bear a distinct genesis marking, solidifying their first edition status even as other players evolve their pet to and beyond this level. Genesis Genopets are playable in-game like all other Genopets. However, players will have the advantage of starting with limited-edition characteristics and rare augmentations that other players will have to earn, giving them a head-start in the game.
We’re Designing Procedurally Generated Modular Art
Designing Genopet NFTs — the centerpiece of the game — requires mastery of both technical and artistic abilities. Genopets are not just random predetermined JPEGs but procedurally constructed 3D models generated on the fly as you hatch, so they must be modular and have interchangeable components while still being aesthetically desirable in any given permutation. Their aesthetic, modular system comprises anatomical parts, consisting of twelve interchangeable components that players can combine to create an astronomical amount of unique Genopets. As players’ levels, skill sets, and visual preferences come together, the number of unique Genopet combinations is endless.
The sheer volume of work required to scale, deliver, and execute the process of creating a unique creature with 12 different body parts for every player and over 77 levels and 12 stages of evolution is not a simple feat.

Minting with GENE Token
As part of Genopet’s Dual Token System, Gene Token is a governance token that represents the value of the Genopets game as a whole. In addition, players will use GENE Token in-game to craft Refined Crystals, Habitats, and other in-game NFTs. Players who hold GENE Token are essentially stakeholders in Genopets (a.k.a. Geneholders). And as Geneholders, players will get access to exclusive peaks at new content, voting rights towards the game design, and community privileges. Furthermore, by becoming a Geneholder, players earn a position among the Genoverse’s covert secret society — The Equilibrium.
Joining a community for a genesis drop is a major moment. And although there are only 3,333 Genesis Genopets that will be available for the first drop, we want to make sure that everyone gets to walk away with a piece of the Genoverse.
