Early In 2018, Rwandan tech community are growing rapidly as never happen before and, is building the developer capacity by impacting the way they learn, connect and communicate. Knowledge sharing, networking and sharing opportunity are the core base of any tech community.

In April, forLoop Africa a community of software developer and technology enthusiasts launched it’s branch in Kigali forLoopRwanda, after and during the event launch we have seen the lack of technology community where software developer, tech enthusiasts meet and learn from the best.

Since then, different tech community are being launched and working tirelessly to bring out the best of Rwandan developer by offering learning opportunity. Tech meetups and workshops are happening around Kigali organized by tech community with the aim of building the world class developer from Rwanda.

Recently in August, Andela has launched it’s first Pan-African Hub in Kigali to help Rwandan and African software developer to access training and employment, this hub will strengthen and add value in our tech community.

Generally so far tech community has achieved three thing, first integrate where Rwandan software developer has signaled their presence on Africa stage after Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, and South Africa. Secondly Access to the world class developers through different channel that have been created by the community. Last but not least collaboration as for now the collaboration among software developer is on high temper either working on a projects or organizing meetups.

Finally here are some of tech community which are working hard to help you become your best and connect you with other developers across Rwanda and the world. forLoopRwanda, GDGKigali, Django Girls Kigali, and if you are interested in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence AISaturdaysKigali has Launched it’s workshops series in Kigali.
