Good piece, Mike, but there’s one dimension missing here: multi-tenant isolation. I don’t think it’s sufficient to simply say, “Each tenant gets their own complete Service Exchange context, isolated in an IaaS Virtual Private Cloud.” And once you actually instantiate the mechanisms to provide the “secure, self-contained” aspect of services (complete with identity+RBAC), you’re pretty much back to a PaaS like CloudFoundry.
