It has to be a) the right movie, b) the right person.
The right movie doesn’t have to be a good movie (bad movies can be enjoyable. and certainly provide plenty of talking points), but it has to be something more than mindless generic fluff.
The right person (for me) is someone who can actually formulate their opinion of the movie, and doesn’t just nod and smile and murmur agreements. It also has to be someone who you can sit in two hours of comfortable silence with during the movie. Even if it has dull bits (the movie, not the person).
