This is an eloquent article, but it’s not a revelation. It’s easy to see that Trump supporters live in fear — the same fear that drives the mistrust of foreigners, the federal government and their slavish devotion to the Second Amendment. I looked to learn some new insight here, but regrettably didn’t find it. Trump supporters want something they simply cannot ever have again, ie. a comfortable, prosperous life for people with little education and few transferable skills.

Still, it was well-written and presented a poignant picture of a way of life that will ultimately disappear. Voting for Trump will not delay that by one day.
