I loved this post Laura! This year a new national newspaper was launched in Britain, “The New Day”, with the aim of providing more positive news than the doom and gloom from other papers. However, it failed after just a few months due to low sales. Is this the “fear” filter at work from the propaganda model? Perhaps humans are just wired to be afraid and are addicted to endless tales of death and destruction in the media today?
