A Simple Mathematical Love Poem

by : Geoffry Gifari

“It is said,
there exists in your chest,
one not rational,
neither imaginary.

One and add one,
you have infinity.
Two subtract one,
You get calamity.

One rule to be,
A pair it should be.
If and only if,
both hearts are ready.

What would it be like,
For one’s life monotone,
To never feel love,
To keep as one’s own?”
