Spam back!
I’ve built an API that automatically responds to spam. It uses machine learning to come up with a couple of sentences in response to an email that it identifies as spam.
So far, it has auto-responded to about 100 emails sent to my public address at admin@geocode.xyz. Some of the interactions are hilarious.


Geocoding the IP address of the sender: studyinukraine.site /91.234.35.30, it seems like Tom Crist is at this location: https://geocode.xyz/91.234.35.30


My Robo responder shot back with:

The robo-responder then shot back with:


And so it went on and on, back and forth between my machine and Crist.




They exchanged a total of 20 more emails while I was asleep. It responded to other spammers too, but they probably realized it was a robot and stopped interacting.
If this API is something others would find useful, I’ll put in some time in April to make a spam auto-responder app.
