I came up with this term yesterday (February 7th, 2024).

The term is a combination of 2 words:

ā€œEudaimoniaā€ (Ī•Ļ…Ī“Ī±Ī¹Ī¼ĪæĪ½ĪÆĪ±) ā€” is a classical Greek word, often translated as ā€˜happinessā€™ or ā€˜welfareā€™; however, more accurately, it refers to the condition of human flourishing or living a fulfilling and virtuous life.
It is a central concept in Aristotelian ethics and philosophy, where happiness is achieved through the cultivation of virtue and the fulfillment of oneā€™s potential.
For Aristotle, eudaimonia is the highest human good, the only human good that is desirable for its own sake (as an end in itself) rather than for the sake of something else (as a means toward some other end).

ā€œEntre-preneurā€ ā€” originates from a 13th-century French verb, entreprendre, meaning ā€œto do somethingā€ or ā€œto undertake.ā€ In the context of business and entrepreneurship, ā€œpreneurā€ has come to represent someone who starts, manages, and assumes the risks of a business venture or enterprise.
It indicates an individual who identifies a need, launches a new enterprise to fulfill that need, and is willing to bear the responsibility for its success or failure.
Over time, the suffix ā€œ-preneurā€ has been adapted and combined with various prefixes to coin new terms that describe different types of entrepreneurs, reflecting their specific focus, innovation, or the nature of their ventures, such as ā€œsolopreneurā€ (someone who operates a business solo), ā€œtechpreneurā€ (an entrepreneur in the technology sector), and many others, indicating the versatility and expansive nature of modern entrepreneurship.

Therefore, ā€œEudaimonpreneurā€ combines both concepts for an entrepreneur who is deeply invested in promoting human flourishing, both in their own life and through their business practices.

This type of entrepreneur seeks to create and run a business that contributes positively to the well-being of everyone involved; its customers, employees, and the wider community, aligning business practices with ethical values and the pursuit of a good and meaningful life!

In essence, an Eudaimonpreneur embodies the principle that the ultimate goal of entrepreneurship is not just profit, but the enhancement of human happiness and the fostering of conditions that allow people to achieve their fullest potential.

And why I am an Eudaimonpreneur?
