The Clacton UKIP vote isn’t just a protest vote against the fundamental ineptitude of our central government to maintain equality of opportunities nation-wide, it’s a protest vote against the greater system, ideology and sad articles like this that implicitly condemn a place’s ‘quality of living’ based on distant macro-statistics and heartless indices. The spiritedness of Jaywick and Clacton should be embraced if it rises above and helps the fight against constantly arbitrary, biased and disengaged noise; the kind of stuff you hear day-in day-out from our political body. It’s a multi-stranded protest vote sourced from mere alienation and overall discontent; unfortunately, it may or may not make any significant or desirable difference.
