A Breath, A Step, The Journey
Keep on keeping on
Someone dear to me was experiencing a great deal of stress in their life as circumstances required the life that they were very familiar with to suddenly change. This change affected their ability to provide for themselves, for their family and gave them a sense of isolation and that the universe was not supportive to their well being.
Without going into the full extent of my chat with them I did provide the statements below which when I reread it later I thought may be applicable to other situations of difficulty that some of my friends may be facing. Here it is for your pondering:
The reactions you are having are normal for the level of stress you are dealing with. What matters is to learn from it, respect the situation for the lessons learned and move on. Don’t allow the stress to control you but control its influence.
You carry on by learning to remember how to truly breath. From the moment we are born until the last seconds of our lives we breath. It is the rhythm of our existence. As long as you can breath then you can learn to manage life. Nothing in life is as bad as being unable to breath. While you have that then you aren’t without possibilities.
Life is filled with cycles, things come and go. You take what you can from the moment and move on. Nothing lasts, all things experience change, including ourselves and the lives we live. Keep the good moments, discard the bad and embrace the unknown tomorrow as if its a journey with opportunities to expand, learn and discover.
You have a ticket to a new segment of the journey of your life. Where will you choose to travel? What shall the map of this new quest look like? The first steps are difficult and filled with nervous tension but they are the first steps to something better.
