Post-inflammatory discoloration: Dark spots because of PIH mark could range from pink to red, to dark grayish brown. This color is dependent on your skin. When compared to spots caused by hyperpigmentation, they are less lighter and can look more blemish. These spots have the tendencies of development from acne marks and wound marks.

Acne marks: Acne makes the skin to be inflamed. When the skin becomes inflamed, it will promote the creation of additional melanin. This production lead to dark spots, which is widely known as acne marks. This occurs on the surface of the skin.
