Sunday Newsletter: When the Hair is Fabulous Good Things Happen
This baby is my spirit animal…for real.
Technology woes about my newsletter distribution are getting fixed, but unfortunately not till next week so the 2nd week the Georgia Caroline newsletter will be posted on Sunday as promised, but on the blog instead of via email again.
But you know what? I don’t even care!
I have a bunch of amazing subscribers and a great blog and I won’t let technology issues get me down because I know my readers understand things happen. Otherwise I’ve had a great day! Why? Because today I had a good hair day.
Bangs are such a finicky thing. They can be great one minute and two seconds later ruin your whole look! Since I’ve gotten them every morning is a surprise to see what my bangs did in the night. This morning I woke up to smooth, full bangs. I didn’t even have to flat iron them! It was an omen from God that today was going to be good.
And it was. We had a lazy day the Hubs and I. I even had a bubble bath and took a nap. Our world lately has been one of extremes and today was a day of infinitely good things. I woke up from my nap to a call from my grandmother inviting us over for dinner.
Hubs and I were stuffed with ham, potato salad, peas, creamed corn, and fresh bread till our sides ached. Cherry pie fresh out of the oven required a little more room in our stomachs to be found, but somehow we managed. We left after a night of good conversation, delicious food, and a bag of leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
The day started as simply a good hair day, but it ended as one of the best days I’ve had in a long time. It was sorely needed, and I thank God for his little blessings of love. I would love to hear your latest “best day,” and what it made you thankful for! Let me know. It always does the body good to slow down and appreciate the little things.
