Study: Many Families With Dying Children Have Negative Experience With Health Providers
Dr. Joanne “Jojo” Cacciatore

When I was in nursing I could not work with children. I got way to emotionally involved with them and their deaths brought flashbacks of my own child’s death

I did see that many in health care seem uncomfortable around death. When we knew someone was very near death few went in their room unless totally unavoidable. While I could not handle dying children I am quite at peace with dying adults and spent as much time with them as I could and many nurses picked up some of my duties so I could be free to stay with their patients
