It’s a drama riddled with black comedy — containing elements of career mishaps, a complicated love life, immigration upheavals, cultural misunderstandings, racial divides, near death experiences, endless parties, celebrity encounters and a colorful spiritual journey amidst the transition.
It explores themes surrounding concepts of ‘the American dream’ — self development, female entrepreneurship, interracial relationships, cultural division; life as an immigrant and the struggle to find fulfillment in one of the most exciting, creative, but isolating and competitive cities in the world.
