Thanks for the article. I share your view of the terrific potential of the central light rail line. The only problem, to which you eluded, is that it has taken THIRTY YEARS to get to this point. The light rail line was clearly not the catalyst which the original hype promised.

The Superblock failed. Patrick Turner and Bill Streuver went bankrupt in Westport and Woodberry. The Fitzgerald Apartments are a TOD sham hiding a massive parking garage. The Penn Station area is being saved by arts and education, not transit.

We can and must do much better!
