Everybody walks into the sewing-machine shop where I work and says wistfully:“Singer…my mom had a Singer”.

I used to work for Huffy Corp, when all Huffy Bicycles were made in the Celina, Ohio factory. I get the same thing; “I/my mom, dad had a Huffy.”

But not for the past 21 years you didn’t. Huffy now licenses their name to the cheapest factory in China, funded by God knows who that strips out all the value out of a once very noble, solid brand, solid product.

It’s sad, really. I only tell people who need to know that I used to work for Huffy. I used to be proud of that.
