Patience: It takes three years to accomplish anything meaningful
David Kadavy

Just this year, I disclosed a secret to a long-term friend who is a bit of a serial entrepreneur…. “NAME HERE, I’m gonna tell you something I’ve learned throughout the past couple decades of batting around business ideas and trends with you…. It takes roughly two years from the time we start talking about an idea to the time you embrace it.”

My goal in disclosing that to him is to have him short-cut that time by at least half, a year of working on faith that I am highly observant, sensitive to future trends and… oh, the most important thing… never wrong.

But three years of working on something once you have the direction, yup, I endorse that. Patience and tenacity; it’s what successful people possess. Three years is a long time to control impatience.
