Not disagreeing with the veracity of them being victims. I’m asserting that the very idea that we need to constantly be on guard against community disintegration and dismantling due to forces beyond our control or sphere is crap. It is exhausting and stressful for no other reason than some people who have resources beyond us are allowed extreme greed. Constantly counteracting these forces is expensive and draining on individuals and communities. It also seeds intense distrust.
