Or let other people find and document the themes. One of the absolutely insane things I find about our social media-fueled lives is you have to not only live your life but you have to document your life. In the words of Alan Watts, (paraphrased, I don’t have the time to listen to his talk to get the quote exactly…) “it takes just as much time watching video footage of your life as it did to live it.”

Or we can all be like Gary Vaynerchuk who hired DRock to document his life, but I ask myself with every GaryVee video, “who is documenting David Rock’s life?” Is his life not worth documenting? Is David’s purpose to document Gary’s life?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ like scholars who spend their entire life studying a literary figure. I dunno, maybe it’s how I’m wired, but I think sometimes that is a waste of a life.
