There is no way to say this in a good way that is not an engendered slight. I know you mean “tough, demanding boss” but “bitch” can only refer to a female boss that way, whereas if used to slight a male boss, it means something entirely different.

Regardless of its intended target, it is steeped in misogyny. The only acceptable use of the word is a clinical description of a female canine. The absolute only use. I mean that in a good way.
