This week, as a team, we took our primary research data and results and synthesized them. We decided our solution/problem statement needed to shift to focusing on the post dining hall service reliability that first-years have with the mandatory meal plan and emphasize on providing a resource that proactively develops healthy cooking habits for on their own when they get off the meal plan. After compiling the data, I developed the structure of our presentation as well as went through developing our experience map with fellow group member Wesley Ford. We thoroughly looked at opportunity points based on our insights from our research and located intervention points throughout a students day in which would be best to use our prospective toolkit solution. This toolkit would be a package of some sort with quick/healthy progressive meals that would help familiarize students with how to cook and ingredients to use, as well as where to get these particular ingredients, and some utensils to help get them started. Our new problem statement is: FRESHY is a toolkit and campaign that provides meal recipes, cooking tips, and healthy habit tips for college students learning and adjusting to live on their own.
