Building a start-up from the ground up is an exciting process, but the learning curve is undoubtedly steep. While the creators may believe they have the next best product for consumers, will consumers believe the same? How can innovators discover exactly what consumers want, and then deliver that efficiently?

Each of Bombe’s co-founders have faced challenges as a team and individually in their respective areas since Bombe was created. Here is their take on the biggest challenge they’ve faced or are facing right now:

Jack:

The biggest challenge right now is generating interest from scientists. It is always hard for startups during the early days to get users to give the new tool a trial. We hope that as the features we offer expands, people are more willing to give us a chance.

Eddie:

It’s difficult to separate the features that scientists request due to curiosity from the features that they request due to critical need. Separating the two would really help us prioritize which features need to be built first to make the tool most efficient to use as soon as possible.

Susie:

Getting market validation. It’s hard to ask people whether they’ll pay or use this product that is still under development. Scientists like to play with our tool but we don’t know if they’ll actually use it to replace their current tool when processing data from experiments.

Overcoming these challenges will help propel Bombe to its next stages of development, and we can’t do it without your help!

If you’re a scientist or someone passionate about science, you can sign up at our site: www.getbombe.com

You will be one of the first people to test our product! We’re always looking for feedback and suggestions.

We’re working hard to get Bombe into the hands of users, so look out for a big announcement coming next Monday, February 17th!
