Love relaxing with a great book? So do we! That’s why we asked teachers and trainees what they’re reading over the summer. We’d love to hear what you are reading over summer too!

  1. The Hunger Games — Suzanne Collins

Immerse yourself in the world of Katniss Everdeen in this dystopian trilogy.

2. A Series of Unfortunate Events — Lemony Snicket

Following Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire on a journey that spans 13 books — will this fictional saga pique your curiosity?

3. Papillon — Henri Charriere

An autobiographical account of the incarcaration and subsequent escape of Henri Charriere (AKA Papillon).

4. Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children — Ransom Riggs

This unusual fantasy novel is told through a combination of narrative and intriguing photographs.

5. Don Quixote — Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra

This one often crops up on lists of greatest works of fiction — a Spanish classic.

6. Wolf Brother — Michelle Paver

Part of a six book series (Chronicles of Ancient Darkness), Wolf Brother transports readers back in time, merging history and fiction to tell this prehistoric tale.
