Monetize anything with Lewt

Content creators are finding it increasingly difficult to make a living from ad revenue and other online streams of income. Revenue is often outside of the content creator’s control and in the hands of third party services through companies like Google.

Many artists and designers rely on multiple websites to reach a larger audience, but without having the ability to control how to monetize the content. In most cases they have to pay a percentage to the platform they are using as well. Alternative monetization options are inadequate and usually directs the user away from the content in order to transact a general donation or setup a subscription. Popular online platforms may also limit their users by censoring content that does not comply with their rules, and automatically obtain full rights to all files uploaded.

Lewt offers a stand-alone monetization layer that can be added to any website or online service. The technology empowers content creators to monetize their content no matter where it is located. It works across domains and between web pages through a combination of techniques that avoids common limitations in browsers. Lewt charges no fee for transactions, deposits or withdrawals and is completely free to use. We are launching our Initial Coin Offering for our Lewt token on September 15, 2017 at 06:00am CDT. Read our whitepaper and how to participate at http://www.lewt.it.

GetLewt platform

The GetLewt platform (http://www.getlewt.com) is our MVP and allows you to monetize your videos, images and documents, including links to your existing website product pages. Each of your media files and links become tiles that populate your gallery. The gallery can be embedded as a marketing tool in your websites, or work as a stand-alone branded website. It also lets you define what HTML elements you want to monetize on your own websites, or if you want to reward visitors for clicking on your HTML elements.

Tipping a YouTube video

The GetLewt platform makes it easy to start monetizing your content even if you don’t have your own website. This video is showing a user gallery with videos that are monetized with a Tip button, comment section and social sharing buttons. Subscribers can view the imported videos on GetLewt and support their favorite content creators directly through tips.

Monetize your YouTube videos

Here is a short clip showing how you can with a few clicks add a single YouTube video to your gallery where visitors can tip it. There is also an import playlist feature available that will automatically import all videos and their content (tags, thumbnails etc.) from a playlist you create.

Monetize links to your existing webpages

If you are using Lewt to market your existing product or service webpages, you can add them to your GetLewt gallery where your visitors can view and tip the content without leaving the page. See the below video for a demonstration.

Monetizing the tiles in minesweeper

Here we have monetized a web version of minesweeper to give coins for successful tile clicks that don’t blow you up. This was done by giving a CSS class name to the tiles, adding that class name to Lewt and giving it a reward of 0.01 coins. The cooldown is set to 0 which means that you can earn the loot reward as fast as you can play the game. You automatically get a Lewt bar on your website showing how much loot it has available and how much you have earned. Log in to www.getlewt.com and try the game at http://lewt.azurewebsites.net.

Upcoming features in development

Your visitors will be able to pay for a variety of services that we are currently working on using Lewt coins. You will be able to easily offer them to your visitors on the GetLewt platform. Below is a small list of features being developed:

  • Offer subscriptions for your premium content
  • Charge one-time fees for viewing content
  • Organize competitions, offer digital coupons and physical goods as rewards
  • Reporting tools for viewing how your visitors are navigating and looting your website
  • Use custom domain names for your sites

Feedback and comments

We are very interested in hearing what you think about our project, and are able to take good ideas into our development plans for future releases.
