DevOps Position

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to work on Gab’s cloud architecture. Remote working is preferred. This is not a full-time job, we are looking for contractors.

Gab is looking for someone to work on the way we use Azure. You will be responsible to provide a horizontally-scalable Azure setup to meet Gab’s requirements. You will be asked to analyze our system, deliver Dockerfiles for each part of the system and make everything work using our current data with your setup.

- Linux system administration
- Experience with Azure and Azure’s Autoscaling capabilities
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Nginx and PHP-FPM
- Experience with MySQL, Redis and Elasticsearch
- Knowledge of Azure Media Service (we are using it for both live streams and encode different video)
- Preferably knowledge of queueing systems. We are currently using Beantalkd but looking to switch that to Azure’s solutions.

You will be provided everything our software needs and have the total freedom to make DevOps decisions. Since we are growing really fast, you will be asked to work on different phases of Gab’s technical evolution but this is still a one-time job for now.
