‘Eating the frog’ relieves stress, boosts confidence and helps you make the most out of your day. Every day.

Frog… eat What?

It’s easy to put off difficult tasks until later. Procrastination tends to make us feel guilty and stressed. Efficient, productive people prioritise their tasks using a method called ‘eat the frog’. ‘Eating the frog’ relieves stress, boosts confidence and makes us feel ready to take on the world!

How To Do It

Early in the morning, ask yourself which task has the highest priority and urgency for your day. This task is your ‘frog’. It is the first thing on your list for the day. Instead of spending your time on other activities, do that main task first.

If you do not know how to prioritise and find out what matters, then ask yourself which activity will bring you closer to your professional and private goals in life.

Make It A Routine

Make sure that you eat your frog first thing in the morning when you arrive at work. Avoid all distractions, such as meetings, colleagues, emails and the internet. Tick it off your checklist once you have eaten your frog. You will feel relieved and happy that you accomplished the most daunting task already.

How It Works

Whenever we try to procrastinate or ignore a key task, we feel guilty and stressed. This is because we do not do our “duty” and fulfil what is expected of us. Sometimes, we expect high standards from ourselves, sometimes it is others who have high expectations of us. The habit of eating your frog early in the day prevents you from accumulating feelings of guilt and uneasiness.
