Gianluca Scamacca is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Sassuolo and the Italy national team. He made his senior debut in 2009, representing his country at UEFA Euro 2016 and winning the bronze medal at the London 2012 Olympics Football. He also participated at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and earned his first cap for Italy in March 2015. Scamacca was born in Sant’Agata di Militello, Sicily on 24 October 1991.
