I’m queer, and more importantly I think at heart everyone is.

I feel that everything to do with being a human, once you get past the genetic code we’re saddled with at conception, isn’t carved in stone, but fluid and prone to changing overtime.

Does that mean some people (and it’s hard to say how large a percentage it is) can be “scared straight”, more than likely, but why do they need to be? I personally feel we need to get past labeling each other and ourselves and just get on with loving and living life.

I also think the people who are the most judgemental are the ones the most uncomfortable in their own skin as well. It’s like they somehow need other’s choices to reinforce their own. And while community support and belonging is important, I prefer to know I’m me first and foremost.

A unique individual with his own journey to make. His own preferences, and his own viewpoints. None of us can be, nor should be duplicated, and we shouldn’t judge people based on being different but celebrate the differences. All of them, because it’s the only thing we share, our uniqueness.
