Life moves fast. My career pivot to User Experience Design has been no different.

So much to do, read, measure, evaluate, tweak, and refine. Moments can be fleeting, and it’s easy to forget instances of joy and discovery, phases of frustration, lessons learned, obstacles overcome, and specific work and people that inspire along the way.

Here’s a weekly scavenger hunt to help remember these moments, reinforce critical ideas, draw on inspiration, and continue on the path of growth and learning.

  1. Define a design system.
  2. Find and read three UX articles and jot down three takeaways for each.
  3. Reflect on a challenging user experience you had last week.
  4. Describe a recent user experience that brought you joy.
  5. Watch a UX-themed video and take down two key ideas.
  6. Read three chapters from a UX book.
  7. Sketch a solution to the challenge you reflected on in item three.
  8. Give a colleague some props and love.
  9. Write a review for an indispensable item in your UX toolkit.
  10. Complete a design-related software tutorial.

Optional: Link your completed list in the comments section of this post. I’ll be sure to share mine next week on Monday.

Have fun. Be mindful. Keep UXing.
