Actually, my concerns are more related to a more basic problem, I would love to hear your thoughts on it:
I believe human species has evolved and adapted to Earth conditions, being extremely and unbreakably bonded to them. One of these conditions is, as you say, atmosphere, yes, but… isnt gravity, at 9.8m/s2, a basic issue which would be a problem in the situation of aiming to maintain long term human life in Mars, where it is about 1/3 of the one we have evolved to stand? wouldnt that be a problem for our bones construction, cardiovascular system, or elsewise?
Furthermore, as you attempt to resolve the problem of the atmosphere with *fixing it* instead of getting us to get used to it, attempting to *fix* the gravity problem seems much more complicated…. doesnt it?
