The statement of individuals being able to do “what only nation states could have done before” is worth investigating. Did we all actually choose to develop and have a cell phone? Did we choose to create and develop automobiles? …or do we complacently and thoughtlessly react to what is provided to us out of convenience or necessity? I think creativity is stifled when we are confined by the dictation of what progression is supposed to look like. …what influential people define it to be. Would we be dropping as many bombs or not living in a sustainable fashion if we really had control over influence? This is a good challenge to apply to much more than AI.
