I can’t agree more! While growing up, my father used to always say to me, “Thank profusely instead of saying sorry!”. Whenever people say things like, “Oh I’m sorry you had to work on your day off”, I’d rather that they say “You’re a total rockstar for working on your day off. Thank you!”.

I could completely relate to everything you said in this post — including the bit where you had a background thread in your head saying “I’m pregnant” for three months. And no, you aren’t letting down women everywhere.
