We are confused creatures and that’s our reality. What makes things worse is that the community around us expects us to be super humans, which, of course we are not. When I was a senior student, I came across a book called The Defining decade, and it was a “eureka” moment.

Finally, there is a book that would possibly help me make the best out of my 20s.

Let me tell you this, your 20s matter, and these are the valuable years of our lives, which of course will not be repeated, so if you want to make the best out of your 20s, here are some takeaways

1. Work

Call, text, or email your friends if you think they can relate to you or help you to find a job, but before you do that do your homework and be intentional about what you are going to ask and what you want to do. These people are willing to help you if you are intentional about what you want to do.

2. Love

Interestingly enough, studies found that couples who cohabitate, leave each other. However, if the relationship is serious, you are most likely to stay with this person. Also, check how OCEAN you are with you partner. OCEAN stands for, Openness, Consciousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism.

3. Brain and the body

You need to be aware that your body and brain are going to change a lot in your 20s. There will be a change that will never happen again in your life. Therefore, make the best out of it. Exercise, eat good food and learn.

These three points will not change your life magically, you need to be patient and consistent with your life. Remember, you are going to change a lot, and you are going to have fun.
