Every L is a Lesson
Turning Failures Into Opportunities
S/o to levels.io for inspring me to write this post
A few days ago, I reached out to Pieter Levels (@levelsio) on Twitter to ask him about his thoughts on living as a nomad.
Here is the tweet in question:
Notice how I plugged in an article I wrote about furniture Digital Nomads might appreciate, well so did he. Originally I had wanted to ask him to find out if there even was a market for the furniture I was reselling, so I reached out to him. That’s when I considered leaving a link to my article, cause who knows what might happen.
I didn’t take long for him to answer:
Oops…
I could’ve given up then and there, but I remembered one of Gary Vaynerchuk’s videos I watched where he talked about always engaging on Twitter, so I continued the discussion.
Pieter ended up being really helpful, here’s what our short conversation on Twitter looked like:
All influencers on Twitter want to help, they just don’t like being leveraged for views without their consent and neither should they.
Although I’ll build a website for Nomad Furniture (I’m thinking of calling it NOMADstyle. Thoughts?), I’m still sticking to my Medium As-A-Website idea. Why? Because I still think the results of my short experiment are inconclusive. I haven’t really marketed this yet nor have I posted this to any major publication on Medium, so until then I think I’ll keep experimenting.
Next time you want to give up, don’t. You never know what might come out of it.
Here’s the post in question (let me know if you want to have this on your publication):
