As a programmer, I agree: it is just software. My internal motto, which I often have to repeat to myself in times of unreasonable requirements, is, “all things are possible.” The problem is that not all things are efficient, or reasonable, or rechable with limited resources. The key isn’t to say that you CAN’T do something, it is in communicating why the requirement or solution isn’t possible within you current limitations. Computers are dumb and they are also limited. Programmers are limited as well, so software will always have limitations on what it CAN and CAN’T do.
