How to write a successful Kickstarter or Indiegogo Press Release?

Press Release Distribution Services are BAD and you really don’t need to use them if earned media is your goal.

I saw people paying more than 500$ for PR and they get back same service as you could find on Fiverr for less than 30$.

Most services upload your release on B-list websites that nobody will see, wasting your time and money.

But, even if you will find the most trustable service:

  1. There is NO SEO value.
  2. ROI is incredibly difficult to find with a distribution service.
  3. Most press releases sent via a newswire should have been a blog.
  4. Results come from relevance and media relations.
  5. Mass sending never works and it’s never a numbers game.

Never start a crowdfunding without having a good audience and don’t waste money with those who promise to get results in 10 days; this never ever works.

Crowdfunding has to be planned at least 6 month before and never start it without a good audience.

Once understand this simple point you should move to the next questions that is how to create my community.

You could run some good hacks for that, like:

  • Use social automation-bots
  • Reply to journalists questions and ask them to share your project
  • Referral Campaigns
  • Post Viral Contents
  • Newsrooms instead of Press Release Distribution
