Interesting post Adam. I work for an on-demand delivery company, we are working extremely hard to improve delivery experience consistency. As we have built partnerships with large restaurant chains, one important learning has been that consumers expect a well defined standard. We eat McDonald’s because we know that anywhere in the world, at any time, it will meet our expectations. As delivery is now a core part of the customer experience, consumers now expect the same consistency on the delivery process, too.
