The ruling party of China is used to calling itself the Communist Party of China, but the Chinese Communist Party is more commonly used in English media. What is behind the different usage?

We all know there are differences between usage of “Chinese” and “China’s(i.e, of China)”. The first focuses on relating to China, and the second emphasizes belonging to China.

The ruling party of the PRC calls itself as the Communist Party of China(CPC), because it would like Chinese people and the rest of the world to believe although it is a commuist party, it belongs to China first and has always put China’s interests first. The western media, call it as the Chinese Communist Party, because they regard it as a communist party first, and then it was established and operated in China. And from my point of view, if you are familar with Chinese history, you should have known in quite a long time this party has put interests of the CPSUand Comintern(i.e, the so-called communism cause) over those of China , and it never covered its status as a proxy of the CPSU and Comintern .So it is more accurate to call it as the CCP instead of the CPC.
