I’m the opposite. I think about the potential that lurks behind every corner, but rather than be on edge, I am at a level of comfort. I know I’m capable of handling that which might be lurking behind the corners. There’s a level of preparation that makes a person comfortable with the danger.
One can understand the world as receivers and feeders. The feeders act and the receivers reacts. The feeders will always be in control because they dictate the limits of the receivers. For example, the receivers cannot act prior to the feeders. The only way to win the fight is to flip the scenario around and become the feeder in the event much like the off-duty cop that flipped the scenario at Crossroads Mall. This is how we deal with danger.
