Skeptics and Ancient Aliens
In September 2023, NASA reported there is an unidentified anomalous phenomenon (UAP) occurring on and around Earth. The independent team insisted the entity is not extraterrestrial. The task force demanded a trillion dollars as part of a must-pass defense bill and concluded that information about these confirmed and finally acknowledged UFOs will be subsequently suppressed for another 25 years or seasons of Ancient Aliens.
Are we mistaken about Earth’s history then and things we assumed to be natural like the background radiation? Are we attributing any archaeological mysteries to this historic admission? What resources do we share and for how long? Did anyone break the news to skeptics who are still shooting these things that don’t exist down? Hold your fire. Let’s start a discussion about the extraordinary claims from skeptics and the first 19 seasons of Ancient Aliens.
If you just watched that new skeptic-driven UFO movie they don’t want you to see, it says everything UAP related is wrong, including sweet, grandpa NASA. Could have done it much shorter. Even the most compelling military evidence is chop suey. Every bit and piece can be logically explained without summoning ghosts. They will make anyone a 5-second believer in a lighthouse theory over the otherwise intriguing stories from Rendlesham Forest. They completely ignore what Nick Pope, an ex-Ministry of Defense official, says. Similarly, they level the story about 50 school kids seeing and drawing aliens by saying that those students were brainwashed by a free, traveling puppet show, while every other school kid that day didn’t see any Ancient Aliens.
What must happen to a “trust me bro” skeptic, or ufologist, is with enough research, they realize like anyone else they are a hypothesist. Not “theorists” until we can use the theory in court to get out of a speeding ticket. We are all suppositionists at best because we simply don’t know. We are all researching because we don’t know. We are, at heart, Don’tKnowists, just as there were the bad old days of brain surgery too.
Sometimes there is no authority, so like Soundcloud, anyone can upload all of their good and bad songs like me and you get Suckcity. Zeppelin never turned out a weak tune because there is a difference. Your balls need to be on the table, not a disposable username. Everyone is pushing a hypothesis and in theory, they are all wrong because they are admittedly only a probability. True except for some parts? You mean religion? People are holding up nearly-solved Rubik’s Cubes like messianic first-borns and demanding a record contract with a spot on Ancient Aliens.
It is two sides of the same bird or UFO. Blurry photos are clashing with supposed immeasurable scientific deductions, reflections and parallax. Two sides so caught up in being right by making the other wrong, it is a real merry-go-round where there is a study, money comes along, skeptics shoot it all down and after some time, with the memory of goldfish, there is a new study because there is still something there and on it goes. Like different TV shows from Blue Book to AATIP to this all-domain team, all with their own budgets, cast of characters and disappearing act at the end. Meanwhile, there is some transparency, public scrutiny and a team willing to tour like a lead blimp, Ancient Aliens.
I’m an empathic middle child, so I am painfully aware of the discrepancy or low data vs high strangeness. What makes me the expert is I gave both sides high data to see what would happen. Like taking sheet music from a pianist or putting it in front of a guitarist, things got quiet. I wrote to my landlord about a mysterious leak I was measuring. I’m not a plumber, I don’t know the origin, he was on it right away and the problem is solved. I wrote to both sides about a testable, measurable, mathematically theoretical UAP, your honor and both sides have their boots so mired in their own dogma they can’t even accept facts that might not support their bootstraps.
Archaeologists, for example, have been certainly looking out for all of the expected academic clues for a lost civilization. — One esoteric, untested way to solve the cube. We are only now just realizing drones and AI could fulfill the requirements of a fossil record or workforce and solve the puzzle just the same. Voyager 1 is an example of a machine that precedes our flesh and bones. Some very confused something might have to tinker with it. It might be misunderstood but looking for a nearby strata that evidences a civilization and fits one conventional wisdom theory is open-mic-night. We must accept the real possibility that machines must have come before any Ancient Aliens.
It is ironic then to see UAP data so freely available, so freely allowed to roam so freely. One side wants us to think that at every turn of history there is always a 5th grader size being gently helping us along with an alphabet we don’t use, or pyramids we think are useless, that must be from out-of-town. Meanwhile, the other side is the bartender that told the whole place not to talk to this looney bunch before they even paid the cover to get in. Don’t any of these aliens have a ponytail? Can’t just one escape the confines of Area 51 and make it to Oprah or Dateline? Leak something to Wikileaks? “It’s a con to make you look up when the answers are at your feet,” it would insist telepathically. It might be time we recognize we are all extraterrestrial stardust sent to Smallville with capes and our jammies, pretending to be journalists. But, grandpa NASA says we share this planet with something. It could just be the UK being cheeky as payback, perhaps ourselves from the future or misunderstood myths and technology of Ancient Earthlings.
