Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation Gala After Party harnesses technology for a Big Hit

November 17th, 2016

November 10th, 2016 marked the 14th year of the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation Gala. It also was the second year the non-profit Foundation hosted Gala After Party that brought young professionals across New York City together for an evening to support awareness against domestic violence. Once again, it was a remarkable success.

Well over 100 attendees donated in support of the Foundation’s mission to educate to end the cycle of domestic violence and save lives by providing intervention and prevention programs via their signature program “Margaret’s Place”.

To effectively connect with professionals across the city the host co committee leveraged the power of technology, social media, and word of mouth to raise excitement and awareness for the evening. Furthermore, technology played a key role in enabling the Foundation to sell tickets, manage the evening, and facilitate the collection of all proceeds back to the non-profit organization’s mission.

Event Marketing Software, Splashthat powered by Salesforce fit seamlessly into the planning and execution of the event {}. After evaluation of different software - Splashthat and the ease of use of Salesforce technology to set up and manage the event through the point and click development platform allowed the host co-committee to connect with their respective networks in order to get the word out.

All Proceeds from Gala After-Party benefit Safe At Home’s school based violence prevention and intervention programs. Safe At Home has reached over 55,000 children who live in fear and witness violence in their homes, schools, and communities.

Attendees of the evening include Charity founders Joe & Ali Torre, NBA commissioner Adam Silver, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred, and members of the 1996 World Series Champion New York Yankees.
